Dean Twins Now

❤ Karson and Cooper Dean were born at 26 weeks at Hurley, both weighing less than 2 pounds! See where they are now – and you will believe in miracles!

Karson was on a ventilator for 4 months, then had a tracheostomy. Nurse Jill, provided her with loving care and helped guide her parents through every situation. At 2 1/2 Karson had throat reconstructive surgery and worked with a speech therapist to learn to use her voice.

In Hurley’s NICU, Cooper was on a ventilator for 3 1/2 months and had ROP eye surgery and PDA heart surgery. Nurses Terry and Amy provided incredible care for Cooper and his family. The Deans still keep in touch with them.

❤ TODAY: As a sophomore, Karson uses her voice boldly as a Varsity Cheerleader and gymnastics coach! This strong, confident, shining light hopes to attend UM Flint after high school to become a pediatric nurse!

❤ TODAY: Cooper just received his academic letter. A contagious personality, Cooper is loved by everyone, including at his job at a golf course. He plans to attend Kettering University after high school with a degree in automotive engineering!
