Celebrate Panda Cares Day with Panda Express on August 8th and help support the Panda Cares® Center of Hope at Hurley Children’s Hospital

Tuesday, August 8th is Panda Cares® Day and our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital has a lot to celebrate.

Last month, Hurley Children’s Hospital welcomed associates of Panda Express into the hospital to celebrate a $550,000 fundraising commitment to the Panda Cares® Center of Hope housed within the hospital’s Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit. 

The Panda Cares® Center of Hope offers a special space for teens which address each child’s entire well-being, including their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual needs. 

Inside the 14-bed Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit, Hurley experts provide compassionate support during stressful times and help children cope more effectively with life issues, mental health distress, instability, and depression.

Since the unit’s opening in late 2022, more than 384 adolescents struggling with behavioral medical issues have been treated.

In addition to the $550,000 commitment celebrated, the hospital recognized Panda Express® guests and their associates from five local restaurants who’ve raised over $344,000 for Hurley Children’s Hospital since 2007.
