Hurley Miracle Child, Lydia, Celebrates 7th Birthday at Costco
Ahead of the long weekend, our 2021 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals Champion, Lydia, visited Costco in Midland, Michigan. Lydia had the best time celebrating her 7th birthday with the team, and everyone at the warehouse was SO excited to meet the “face” of this year’s CMN campaign. The visit was full of excitement including a special tour of the warehouse from princess Elsa, the Happy Birthday song from the entire front end, a $200 donation from a kind stranger, Lydia working the register AND even a special serenade in the breakroom from a Costco team member.
As the only Costco warehouse in Hurley’s Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals market, any and all funds raised during this month-long campaign are vital to the continued success of CMN programs at Hurley Children’s Hospital.
This year, the team at Midland set a goal of raising $30,000 for Hurley kids and we are pleased to announce that 24 hours after Lydia’s visit, they had surpassed that goal.
Costco’s commitment and dedication to helping CMN Hospitals is remarkable, and all of us at Hurley feel so grateful to have them in our neck of the woods. Hurley Children’s Hospital is honored to welcome the team at Costco to our CMN family.
