We aren’t responsible for what is now in your head! The Hurley Children’s Hospital Halloween photo shoot was a big success!

Volunteers crocheted costumes this year for our tiniest NICU babies to wear. We like to celebrate the holidays in the NICU because we know it can be hard on families. It’s difficult to miss those firsts – like a first Halloween – or trick-or-treating. When families see their little ones dressed up in costumes, it makes it more real. It makes them see their little ones as the cute little babies they are. It gives them hope for the Halloweens to come, when their son or daughter will be running as fast as they can can to get to the next house for candy.

Every parent deserves those moments and we are proud to be able to not only provide our NICU babies with costumes, but with photos for them to cherish forever.

This year, a nurse and a retired nurse handmade some adorable costumes that really gave the babies their own personalities. We are so thankful.

We could use some costume donations for our coming holidays – Christmas, Easter and Halloween 2020. If you know how to sew or knit, we hope you will consider contributing. Email JBrown6@hurleymc.com. If you aren’t handy that way, please just donate funding on this site or at hurleyfoundation.org/donate.

Happy Halloween everyone! And babies, we hope you are scaring up trouble at home, in no time.
