Glow For Miracles!

It’s almost time! Tonight, Hurley Children’s Hospital will host the 2nd Glow For Miracles event.

Hundreds of people are expected to arrive at the hospital with glow sticks and flashlights. Patients will look out their windows tonight, knowing the community has not forgotten them this holiday season. Wahlburgers and Dort Federal Credit Union have donated glow sticks for the event. Wahlburgers will also have a food truck on site where people can get cider, hot chocolate and coffee to stay warm!

The event is an important way for the community to show patients directly – they care. People broke out in song and really felt part of something special in 2018. The patients couldn’t believe how many people came – just to support them. That is a great feeling for a child.

Last year, the Glow for Miracles event coincided with Vote for Miracles. Community support helped us win $50,000 from Credit Unions for Kids. The Sheppy Dog Fund donated an extra $20,000. This year, the contest is not taking place so we are raising money on our own. The Sheppy Dog Fund will donate $10,000 if we can raise $10,000 by Christmas.
