Celebrate Miracles! Children’s Hospitals Week: April 11-15, 2022

Children’s Hospitals Week is all about helping kids. Hurley Children’s Hospital hopes you join us in celebrating the dedicated medical team, support staff, miracle families, community members and Children’s Miracle Network national partners that support the mission of changing kids’ health, changing the future. 

Together, Monday April 11 – Friday April 15, we encourage you to share miracle stories of children in our region healing. Charlie Lash came to Hurley Children’s Hospital with MIS-C, a post COVID-19 immunity disorder which causes the heart, lungs and other organs to become inflamed. Although terrifying for her parents, with Hurley innovations, she had the best turnaround doctors had seen mentally and physically.

“While there are a handful of children’s hospitals in Michigan, this week-long celebration is unique to Hurley Children’s Hospital because it is the only Children’s Miracle Network hospital north of Detroit,” said Brooklyn Kennings, Assistant Director for CMN Programs. “Hurley was invited to join the network in 1990 and, to this day, we continue to offer quality, life-saving care regardless of the families’ ability to pay.”

As the only teaching hospital in 15 counties, Hurley Children’s Hospital is leading in treatment and technology to give children the best chance of recovery and wellbeing.
