California Gamer Streaming LIVE for Hurley Kids on November, 7th

Isaac Wilson IV might be at the top of the Extra Life Leader Board for Hurley Children’s Hospital, but if you ask him: he’s only getting started. “This year, we’re stepping things up a notch,” says Wilson.

Born in Flint, Wilson grew up in Genesee county and moved to California a number of years ago. He has been an Extra Life gamer, raising money for Hurley kids, since 2016. This year, more than any other, he understands how important every dollar is. “2020 has done a number on all of us. The need of children from all over mid and Northern Michigan for specialized care is great.”

Recently, Wilson celebrated crossing the $2,500 threshold and he isn’t stopping there. He has planned incentives for Game Day including: shaving his spectacular beard if $3,000 is raised. “I haven’t seen my chin in a decade, and honestly most people I know these days haven’t seen it at all. The idea of shaving my beard personally terrifies me, but it’s one of the biggest ways that I can demonstrate how important this campaign is to me.”

Wilson will also be subjecting himself to Paqui’s famous One Chip Challenge. For every $20 donated, Wilson will roll a 20-sided Extra Life dice. If the dice lands on 1, he will stop what he is doing to eat the unbearably hot chip inside during the live stream event. Wilson has also recruited several talented friends in his network to provide donation incentives including quilted soup cozies, dragon scale dice bags, and a custom written song.

“The energy that Isaac is bringing to this year’s Extra Life Game Day is infectious,” said CMN Director, Linda Tracy-Stephens, “his creativity and dedication to the cause are inspiring, and show that Extra Life is a fundraiser that anyone can easily participate in.”
