Art Makes Noah Smile After Asthma Attack

5 year old Noah was having a rough go of it. He had an Asthma attack and Pneumonia. In the hospital, he was recovering, but tired, anxious and feeling a little cooped up.

That’s where Child Life Services stepped in. The amazing group at Hurley Children’s Hospital dedicates itself to making the hospital experience bearable for kids. The team walks young patients through their procedures so they know what to expect and aren’t caught off guard. They even hold a hand to help make it better. The team provides entertainment with games, movies, art and music too.

Art Specialist Tracy Leigh Fisher instantly brought a smile to Noah’s face again. The “Art Cart Lady” prides herself on making children laugh. They don’t even realize the creations they are making are often therapy for their injuries or illnesses.

Take a quick look inside Hurley Children’s Hospital to see the magical interaction between Tracy and Noah.
