Baby’s First Year

Patty Cake Patty Cake Bakers Man.

11 month old Nolan Moore has just discovered clapping. He loves to turn pages in books, “reading”. He also has some new teeth which he finds fascinating.

It’s been a big year for Nolan. “Nolan was born six and half weeks early,” said his dad Brad. Mom says the hardest thing she’s ever had to do was leave her new baby at the hospital. Nolan spent 13 Days in the Hurley NICU. Brad says, “Every single one of us made us feel like we were part of a family, the doctors, everybody. It was pretty amazing. They really take you in and show that they really do care about your child. It’s so nice to know that it’s not just another patient, its somebody that they actually care about.”

The Moore family experience is one reason Dort Federal Credit Union is matching $5000 in donations for Hurley Children’s Hospital. The Moores say they feel blessed they live close to Hurley and didn’t have to travel somewhere to get great care.  There is never any doubt in their mind they would go anywhere else.

The Moores say you never know when it’s going to be you. They are asking people to donate at bit.ly/DortCares4Kids because every dollar raised stays local to help local kids.
